✨Success Set-Ups: Prepare for the Week✨

On Monday mornings, I take the first 10 minutes of the day to map my week so I feel prepared 🗺️. For me, this means going through my 3️⃣ inboxes and calendars to pull out meetings, to-dos, and follow-ups. Then I’ll schedule my workouts (yes, I put them on the calendar in advance - this is key 🔑) and decide what I’m making for dinner each night.

I design my week this way because I’ve taken a lot of time to understand what works for me.

🔋I know I’m the most creative in the morning, so I try to schedule any meetings or tasks that need a lot of creativity or brain power before noon. I leave my administrative and simpler tasks for the afternoon.

💪🏻I know I need to block the time on my calendar to work out before lunch, because if I don’t get something in before then I know I won’t have the energy for it.

🥗I plan my dinners based on how busy my day looks because when I’m tired I have very little desire to cook #saladkitlife

To me, it’s important to prepare for the week not because it will all go to plan, but so you know where you can flex when it doesn’t. It’s also important to understand how your brain and body work: are you more creative in the morning, or do you need more time to wake up? When do you have the most energy? Structure you day in a way that takes advantage of your natural patterns.

Well, This is a Story All About How...

...I became a health coach.

When I asked y'all what you wanted for September's newsletter, you said you wanted me to write about my health story and why I became a coach. So, I did (after re-writing it about 4 times 😬).

✨Your goals don’t have to be about weight loss or changing your body✨

They can be, and I’m here to support you with an intuitive eating-based approach if they are. But I also think it’s important to say that it’s great to have goals that are NOT about weight loss or body changes. You can have a goal to reduce your stress, to bring spirituality into your life (however that looks to you), to quit smoking, to improve your sleep 💤 .

Don’t feel like your goals aren’t important or valid if they aren’t related to weight loss or body change. We live in a world that constantly praises weight loss so it can feel like you’re doing something wrong if that’s not your goal. I’m here to tell you, you’re not doing anything wrong. Pursue the goals that matter to you 🤗.

💫Get to Know Your Coach: A Day in the Life Edition

Here’s a quick overview of what a day in my life looks like on days I teach at @titanupfitness 💪🏻.

With small businesses, no day is exactly the same, and I love that about my jobs. But my mornings always start with coffee, my days always alternate between working and walking Harper 🐕, and my nights wrap up with a good book 📚. I try to get workouts in 4-6 days a week and walk a lot on the days I can’t 🚶🏼‍♀️. I like to cook most nights, although it doesn’t always happen 👩🏼‍🍳.
